Micro-cement in the design industry
G'day, I want to talk about an inflexion point in not only the construction scene but also in design: MICRO-CEMENT. I heard about it, I’ve seen it in architectural design, and in almost every Belle and Vogue magazine. Im excited to say I’ve had the awesome opportunity to learn it through Calce Company Co. When it comes to durability and contemporary elegance, micro-cement's the name of the game.
So, what's the scoop on micro-cement? It's like the Swiss Army knife of building materials. Versatile, durable, and oh-so-stylish. Whether you're decking out a sleek kitchen/bathroom, adding carefully snuck feature walls, or even making furniture, micro-cement really has you covered. It’s a great economical product by the ways of application, eg: covering existing bench tops/walls, and tiles. Being eco-friendly, you can feel good about your design choices.
It's tough as nails and its ever so elegant. With engineered stone fazing out, micro-cement is a product being seen more and more on people’s bench tops. It can handle almost whatever you throw its way. Cold and Industrial undoubtedly comes to mind when you hear the word cement but its so much more. With so many colour options, your micro-cement doesn’t have to be just grey or white which is pretty cool. It’s a very high end finish, that when placed and designed in the right way can accentuate the natural environment around it and bring in a sense of luxury and refinement.
As a painter and decorator, expanding the decorative side of my field is so full filling and fun. There’s just so many product systems out there now we as professional decorators can learn and offer, and its just awesome for businesses like APS who are wanting to offer more than just paint and wallpaper.
